Jasmine's POV
Days passed since the big pack meeting. I was starting to feel more comfortable in my new role as future Luna. But I missed having someone to talk to about normal things. That's why I was so happy when I saw Lily in the hallway.
"Lily!" I called out, smiling. "Do you have a moment?"
Lily looked surprised but happy. "Of course, Your High- I mean, Jasmine," she said, remembering our last talk.
We went to a quiet corner where we could chat. It felt good to talk to someone who didn't expect me to be perfect all the time.
"How have you been?" I asked. "I've missed our talks."
Lily smiled, but I could see something was bothering her. "I've been okay," she said slowly. "But... can I tell you a secret?"
I nodded eagerly. "Of course. You can trust me."
Lily took a deep breath.
