I woke up to Mason thrashing beside me. His face was twisted in pain, sweat beading on his forehead. "No! Sarah, please... I'm sorry!" he cried out, his voice filled with anguish. I shook his shoulder gently. "Mason, wake up. It's just a dream." His eyes flew open, wild and unfocused. For a moment, he didn't seem to recognize me. Then awareness flooded back, and he sat up, breathing hard. "It happened again, didn't it?" I asked softly. "The nightmare about Sarah." Mason nodded, running a shaky hand through his hair. "Yeah. It's nothing. Go back to sleep." But I couldn't let it go this time. These nightmares were tearing him apart, and I needed to know why. "Mason, please," I said, touching his arm. "Talk to me.
