Mason's POV
I rode my horse down the hill, feeling worried. I didn't like leaving Jasmine behind, even with guards. But I had to focus on the mission. Lucas rode next to me. "Are you okay, Alpha?" he asked.
I nodded. "Just thinking about Jasmine," I said.
Lucas smiled. "She'll be fine," he said. "She's strong."
I knew he was right. Jasmine was strong. But I still felt uneasy. We got closer to the rogue camp. It was very quiet. Too quiet.
"Something's not right," I said to Lucas. "It's too empty."
Lucas nodded. He looked worried too. "Should we go back?" he asked.
