FIVE DAYS LATER
Jasmine's POV
I opened my eyes slowly, feeling like I was waking from a very long sleep. The room was so bright it hurt my eyes at first. As things became clearer, I realized I was in a hospital. The clean smell and beeping machines gave it away.
When I tried to sit up, the room started to spin. My head felt light and strange, like it might float away. I made a small noise, feeling weak and confused.
"Jasmine?" I heard Mason's voice. He came to my side quickly. He looked happy to see me awake, but something was off. He seemed worried, maybe even scared.
"Mason," I said quietly. My throat felt dry and scratchy. "What happened to me?"
Mason helped me drink some water. It felt so good on my dry throat. As I became more aware, I saw other people in the room - Queen Amelia
