I walked through the pack grounds, feeling the tension. It had been three days since the council meeting where we learned about The Shadow Council, and the atmosphere was thick with anxiety and restlessness.
Sophia's pack, who we now referred to as Millie's allies, were growing increasingly agitated. I could see them gathered in small groups, talking in hushed tones, their eyes darting around suspiciously. As I passed by, I caught snippets of their conversations.
