Daniel wasn’t sure how much later it was but he was slowly falling asleep on the chair on Jia’s bedside when his mate’s hand twitched in his. He blinked rapidly to shake off the early clutches of sleep and shifted forward in his chair to hold onto Jia’s hand tighter.
Very slowly his mate regained consciousness, vibrant green eyes scanning the room surrounding her and finally settling on Daniel.
