I practically purred with contentment once I had finally gotten my time alone with Daniel. Our bodies were sweaty and entwined together with Daniel softly snoring away. Me, on the other hand couldn’t sleep. Too many thoughts were going through my mind. I was worried about Alec and Grace and even more worried at what Gale would learn from spending so much time with Alex and Zane.
I heaved a deep sigh and climbed out of Daniel ’s limbs, padding over to the shower and dressing in some sweats before venturing into the house in search of somebody to keep me entertained.
I had expected to find Roseanne or Kevin still up or even Shawn baking away but instead I found Gale reading a big dusty book in the living room. He was curled up on an armchair with a single lamp as a light source.
