“Where are you taking me?” Jia asked Daniel as she peered through the passenger side window of Daniel’s truck.
“It’s a secret,” Daniel grinned, refusing to give Jia any hint.
“No fair...” Jia pouted. It really took a lot of effort not to lean over and pinch her cheeks, but Daniel valued his balls.
Tonight was the full moon and Theo’s scent had been circling the pack home so Daniel had decided to take Jia away for it, just to be safe.
A wolf on the full moon was twice as strong as a wolf on normal nights and the last thing Jia needed was Theo throwing his weight around. The pack could handle things while Daniel was away with Jia. Steele and Alex were more than capable of running the pack for a few days. If Daniel wasn’t certain of that then he would have never left without them.
