Alexander rubbed his chin and said: “My mother-in-law wants the two of you to hit it off. Just pretend for now. Eleanor can take a few photos to prove she brought you two to meet. Why don’t you sit at the café across the street and chat? I have something to take care of. Once I’m done, we’ll have dinner together."
Marvin scratched his head, not quite understanding Alexander’s intention. However, he decided not to dwell on it. Whatever Alexander said, he would just follow along. He just needed to keep his feelings for Nana in check.
"Alright, there’s a café across the street. Let’s go there. You go do your thing.” Marvin said straightforwardly.
Eleanor handed Alexander the car keys and reminded him: “Be careful out there."
"Don’t worry. Safety first. I’ll see you all later."
