Only then did Alexander release Valeria’s hand. He turned to Eleanor and said: “Go rest in the bedroom."
Eleanor stood up, her eyes red, and walked straight into the bedroom.
Alexander watched her retreating figure, silently saying nothing.
But Valeria wasn't done with him. She knocked the water basin out of his hands onto the floor and angrily pointed at him, shouting: “Alexander, I'm warning you, don’t lead my daughter astray! Sooner or later, the two of you will get divorced. My daughter's precious time can’t be wasted on you!"
Alexander remained silent, quietly picking up the broom to clean the floor.
Valeria stomped her foot in anger and cursed: “Useless piece of trash! Sooner or later, I’ll kick you out of our house!"
It was almost lunchtime when Alexander entered the bedroom.
