Riker froze, lowering his head in submission.
“Young Master Reynolds, what would you like us to do with them next?” Primo asked respectfully.
“They’re just insects. My wife is merciful, she dislikes killing. You can go.”
Alexander said lightly.
Eleanor cast a sidelong glance at Alexander, barely holding back a smile.
Riker and his group, visibly relieved, scrambled to their feet, bowing as they mumbled: “Thank you, thank you, Young Master Reynolds, for sparing us. We’ll be going.”
Alexander’s tone turned icy: “Did I tell you to leave on your feet? You’ll roll your way out of here, down the stairs, and out of this office building.”
Riker’s face flushed with humiliation as he pictured himself rolling out of the building, overwhelmed with shame.
