Chapter 10: Now, Do I Have The Qualification To Buy It?

1466 Words
Peyton Roberts had just walked in, his nose in the air, a mocking expression plastered on his face as he looked at Alexander Reynolds. This poor loser dares to come to Crystal Wave? Alexander raised an eyebrow slightly but didn't bother to respond to Peyton. Seeing that Alexander was ignoring him, Peyton angrily walked over and said coldly: “What? You think you have the right to look at luxury items like these? Do you even belong here?" Alexander replied calmly: “The store is open for business. Why shouldn't I be able to look?" Ha! Peyton sneered and said: “Because you're dirt poor. This is Crystal Wave. Even the simplest necklace or diamond ring here costs tens of millions. Do you really think you can afford anything?" This guy, still trying to show off in front of him. Does he even know who he is? Alexander remained silent, considering whether he should reveal a bit of his true capabilities to Peyton. At that moment, the sales clerk who had previously looked down on Alexander quickly approached Peyton, her face filled with a fawning smile, and asked quietly: “Young Master Roberts, you've arrived. Is there anything you'd like to see?" Emily Poole greeted him warmly. A rich second-generation heir like Peyton, with a fortune worth tens of millions, was the kind of customer any salesperson would love to serve. Any woman, too, would be attracted to him. Especially since Peyton had just bought a Heavenly Crystal Diamond necklace this morning for a whopping 1.8 million. Compared to Alexander, who stood there like a piece of wood, the difference was like night and day. Peyton flipped Alexander off, then turned to Emily and said: “I'm here to see the Hundred Flowers Fairy diamond necklace." He couldn’t believe Eleanor Marshall wouldn't like that necklace. It's every woman's dream. Hearing this, Emily and the other sales consultants were shocked, their faces lighting up with excitement: “Certainly, Young Master Roberts, please wait a moment. We don't have it here, but I'll have it brought over from the main store." They were going to be rich. If Peyton wanted to see the Hundred Flowers Fairy diamond necklace, it meant he was ready to spend a fortune. If this necklace were the first to sell in all of Golden Harbor, the prestige and commission alone would be worth hundreds of thousands. Emily immediately pulled out her phone to call the main store. A few minutes later, she invited Peyton to sit in the VIP lounge, kneeling to brew him a fine cup of tea: “Young Master Roberts, please wait a moment." At this point, Alexander was getting a little annoyed. He had also come to see the Hundred Flowers Fairy diamond necklace, but he had been ignored. Meanwhile, Peyton had arrived later and was being welcomed with utmost care. "I'm here to see the Hundred Flowers Fairy diamond necklace too. Why hasn't anyone supported me?" Alexander said coldly. He wasn't one to get angry easily, but now he was feeling quite irritated. "Hahaha." A burst of mocking laughter filled the air as Peyton stood up, sneering at Alexander. He asked Emily beside him: “He's here to see the Hundred Flowers Fairy diamond necklace too?" Emily with an apologetic face, nodded and said: “Yes, Young Master Roberts." Peyton snorted, adjusted his clothes arrogantly, and said: “With the way he looks, does he even have the right to see it? You should know that I'm the real VIP with the money to buy that necklace. A VIP certainly wouldn't want to be bothered by something as insignificant as a stray dog." In an instant, Emily understood perfectly. She bent forward and said: “Young Master Roberts, don't worry. I'll have him thrown out immediately." With that, she turned to Alexander, her face now cold and hostile, and snapped: “Get out. You're not welcome here." If this poor wretch caused her to lose the favour of Peyton, Emily would regret it deeply. But Alexander stood his ground, not moving an inch. Emily, growing impatient, was about to call for security when Peyton suddenly raised his hand and said: “Let it go. If he wants to look, let him. A poor guy like him probably won't get to see anything like this in his entire life." Fine then, let him see just how expensive the Hundred Flowers Fairy diamond necklace is. That way, Alexander will understand the gap between their and know his place. A few more minutes passed, and Peyton was starting to lose his patience: “Why isn't it here yet? I don't have much time. I have an important meeting to attend soon." "Young Master Roberts, please wait a moment. It's on its way.” Emily replied, equally anxious. Meanwhile, Alexander showed no signs of impatience. After all, he had taken the afternoon off. Another ten minutes passed, and Peyton could no longer sit still. His phone rang from his pocket: “Hello, Dad? Alright, I got it. I'm on my way." Hanging up, Peyton's face looked grim as he told Emily: “I'll come back tomorrow." With that, he shot a cold glance at Alexander before turning and leaving. Emily, flustered, chased after him: “Young Master Roberts, please wait just five more minutes." But Peyton headed straight for his car. There was an urgent meeting at the company, and he had to rush back. As Emily returned to the store, disheartened, she unleashed a barrage of insults on Alexander. And this scene was captured by Peyton, who was still in his car outside. He delayed leaving for about a minute, recording this entertaining video. "Haha, Alexander, just look at how pathetic and useless you are. It's truly embarrassing for a man." With that thought, Peyton used his connections at the Marshall family's company to have them circulate the video in their company group chat. Meanwhile, back in the store, Alexander endured Emily's tirade with a smile. It takes self-control not to get angry with others. At that moment, a man hurriedly entered the store, carrying an ornate, luxurious box, followed by four bodyguards. As soon as he stepped inside, he called out: “Sorry, there was traffic on the way, so I'm a few minutes late. Where's the customer?" Emily muttered coldly: “He left." The delivery man was taken aback, clutching the box in his hands, and asked: “What should I do now? Should I take it back?" "What else would you do? If anything happens to something this valuable while it's in our store, we wouldn't be able to cover the cost.” Emily snapped. But just at that moment, an untimely voice rang out: “I'll buy it." Huh! Everyone turned their heads towards the source of the voice, their eyes landing on Alexander, who had gone unnoticed until now. "You'll buy it? Are you joking? Do you even know what it takes to buy this necklace? You need a Silver Membership card from Crystal Wave, and that alone requires spending over one millions USD.” Emily shouted angrily. How could she run into such an i***t today? "Is this customer really intending to buy it?" the man delivering the necklace asked with a hearty laugh. Emily immediately snapped: “Buy what? He's just a poor fool! Take it back right now." The man nodded, said nothing more, and turned to leave. But just then, a man dressed in a black suit entered quickly through the door. He was tall and handsome. He approached Alexander with white gloves on, respectfully holding out a black card with gold trim. "Young Master, here is what you requested.” the man said with great deference. Young Master? The sight before them, combined with the respectful address, left the store's staff stunned. The man delivering the necklace suddenly froze in his steps, glancing back. He was so shocked that he nearly lost his balance. "A... a Supreme Black Card!" The man gasped in disbelief, his eyes wide with astonishment. When he exclaimed, Emily and the others were equally stunned. The card Alexander now held in his hand was the Supreme Black Card of Crystal Wave. There were only ten of these cards in the entire world. They symbolized the highest level of membership at Crystal Wave. Anyone holding this Supreme Black Card could purchase anything from Crystal Wave at will. Even items under one million could be taken without payment. That's right—there were only ten such cards worldwide. How could this be possible? Emily was in a daze. But Alexander casually waved his hand, signaling for his subordinate to leave, then handed his black card to Emily, asking: “So, do I have the qualifications to buy it now?"
