Michael stood for a bit looking deep in her face, like he was trying to read something. Serene still bent her head slowly, rubbing her stomach in a circular motion.

"I actually thought your name is Serene as mentioned by her," Michael said, releasing the tension already building.

"Hey Alpha Moon," a voice caught them short as Alpha Klein walked up to them smiling. "I can see you getting along with my wife," Alpha Klein spoke as he groaned gently.

Michael shook his head and shifted on the way. Serene, still with her head bent, passed immediately not looking at either of them. Michael turned gently looking toward her for a moment; his expression was unreadable. He turned back to Alpha Klein and forced a quick smile.

"I will be going back. I have quick meetings I don’t want to miss Klein. As we discussed, till next time." Michael forced a smile and turned quickly and left.

Alpha didn't move as Michael left. He stood for a moment and quickly turned toward the door Serene entered.

"Serene!"

He roared her name, breathing heavily. Serene rushed out immediately and turned to Alpha Klein, breathing heavily. A dangerous glint flashed in his eyes.

"What did you say to Moon?" Klein spoke suddenly as his mouth pressed into a thin line.

Serene shivered suddenly as she forced the words out without thinking. "Charlotte... I... caught her trying to say something to Alpha Moon, but immediately she saw me, she closed her mouth."

Klein gave a wicked stare to her as he squeezed his hands into a fist!

"Charlotte!" he roared as his voice echoed in the hallway. "Charlotte!!!"

Ria hesitated for some seconds, still standing at the balcony watching around the place. Hearing the name Charlotte, she thought within her if it was truly her or someone else. The name roared harder again as she rushed inside.

Alpha Klein saw her rush toward him and dragged her down, forcing her to kneel. Ria breathed heavily at the heavy hands on her.

"You trash!" Klein roared. "Do you know how desperately I wanted the Royal Pack to unite with the Shadow Pack! What did you tell Alpha Moon that made him leave suddenly?"

Ria shivered as she quickly shook her head with her heart racing violently. "I... I didn’t tell him anything and he didn’t ask me anything... I..."

Slap!!

A heavy slap landed on her cheeks as she trembled and staggered back.

"You will be locked up in the courtyard, your normal room, and no food for you for three days! You know how desperately I wanted the Royal Pack! You know how desperately I needed Alpha Moon's weakness? You wreck!!"

Klein roared and grabbed Ria by the hair and pulled her all through the corridor. She staggered and followed him. Getting to the empty dark room, Alpha Klein dragged her inside and quickly shut the door with a heavy slam as it echoed in the courtyard. He turned quickly and left.

Ria staggered on the floor, her heart paced heavily as she looked at the bruise on her knee. She let out a slow breath as tears flushed down her cheeks.

"Mother!" she muttered slowly. "Mobo!" she said with a vibrating voice. "I... I don’t know if it is the wish I sought that brought me to this part or whether this is me. Am I having memory loss? Is anything wrong with me? Was she my mother? Or were those moments with her and my best friend Mira just a nightmare?"

Tears rolled down her eyes as she gently cleaned the blood that oozed slowly on her knee with the torn piece of her clothes. She forced herself up immediately and turned around.
