"Maybe, just maybe someone saw the chats with the AI, you know? Shits like that happen," Mira said, trying to sound calm. She wrapped the gift back gently and handed it back to Ria. Ria took it, a surprised look still on her face. "Who is he?" Ria said, turning to Mira. "Oh, come off it, Ria. A girl like you can’t know someone like that, you know," Serene spoke sarcastically as she let out a wicked laugh. "Okay, birthday girl, you…" "Happy birthday, Ria," another voice broke in, handing her a bouquet of roses. Ria smiled and took it. "Dan," she whispered slowly, taking the gift from him. "Thanks for coming. I..." "Dan!" Serene screamed as she threw herself at him, holding him tight. Dan was uncomfortable for a bit but slowly allowed it. "Serene! Can’t you be normal? At least…" Mira screamed, looking at her with an angry look. Serene gently released her hold on Dan. She turned slowly to Mira. "Okay, normal girl, what else you got, huh? "Ladies," Dan spoke, cutting short the tension already developing. "Today is Ria's birthday and I have a quick announcement to make. Come on, Ria." "Come on, witch," Serene mumbled, smiling slowly. Mira quickly turned to her, but she turned her face away immediately. Ria ignored her completely as she followed Dan slowly. Dan stopped at some point and gently held her hand. They stopped at the bonfire; other people were seen dancing to the music playing. Dan gently pulled Ria in front of him. "Everyone, listen," he said, smiling. "I... I am actually here to say this on Ria's 18th birthday... and to hopefully wish she gives me a chance this day." Dan smiled and gently turned to Ria. "Ria Smith, would you be my girl? Some mumbling came from the crowd; some laughed and some whispered slowly. Ria's heart skipped a beat. This was the first time somebody had ever asked her out. She turned to Mira, and she nodded slowly, smiling at her. "I..." Ria stammered gently. "Dan," Serene said quickly. "Remember the story! She whispered and turned away. Ria turned quickly to her, a surprised look flickering on her face. Dan didn’t move an inch, he still held her hand. "What story? Ria asked turning to Dan and back to Serene. Serene didn’t answer, she just looked away. "Ria... Ria, don’t listen to her. She might just be jealous, you know," Mira said, trying to release the tension already building up. "No! Ria screamed, releasing his hold on her. "Can someone tell me what’s going on here and why is everywhere suddenly quiet? Ria asked confused, looking at everybody. "I..." Serene stopped immediately as Mira pinched her. "Stop it! Ria screamed, turning to Mira. "Mira, I wish to know. What is it?she said and quickly turning back to serene Serene loosened Mira’s hold and walked closer to Ria, smiling. "Tell your mother why she was referred to as a witch! And what even killed your father... you know it runs in the blood, you know," Serene said, letting out a wicked laugh. Mira turned her face away immediately as Ria turned to her and back to Serene. She gently turned to Dan, who turned his face away too. Her heart beat heavily in her chest like it was about to fall off. She drew back gently as people gave space for her. She quickly turned as the rain started immediately. She turned and started running in the rain. "Ria! Mira's voice was heard, but she didn’t stop. She ran as tears fell freely down her face. She ran and quickly stopped at the back of a parked vehicle. The heavy rain poured on her as she clutched her purse close to her chest. Her heart beat heavily as she sat down in the darkness as tears flowed down slowly on her face. Her heart ached heavily as she wept. She brought out her phone slowly and pressed it,the light of the phone showed on her face as she breathed in heavily,. "Mo... Mobo," she stammered as she spoke into the phone. "They said I... I am a witch and my mother is one, Mobo. I am deeply pained that all this was hidden from me by my mother. I just wish to run away to somewhere nobody knows. Somewhere cool, somewhere I could be and no one would know me,somewhere I could not be recognized even... even by my mother. Loved by the best man... someone I could call my first love, Mobo." "Ria..." a voice called slightly from her phone. Ria looked at the phone, still crying. "Go home, ask your mother, and sleep." Ria shook her head violently. "No, Mobo, I don’t want to ask her anything. I'd rather be with a ruthless man as a husband than be with her, who has hidden a lot from me." "Ria, be careful what you say." "Mobo, I don’t care,I know I am pained, but I just want to be away, even if it's just for one year." "Your wish is granted, Ria." Ria quickly turned to her phone. "What did you just say? No voice came again from the phone. She gently stood up, water dripping from her clothes. She walked straight to the door, which wasn’t locked. She gently tiptoed to her room so not to woke her mother and locked the door gently, her heart beating heavily with pain. She removed her dripping clothes and lay on her bed after pulling on her pajamas… "Hey... Charlotte!! Water splashed on her face immediately. Ria gasped and woke up. She gently turned around, and the environment had changed. She noticed a Citadel that sat high on a cliff like a crown made of white stone. Its towers were tall with long silk flags flowing in the wind. Kids were running around, some chasing butterflies, dressed in a kind of modern wear. She turned the other side and saw some men with swords practicing something. Her heart pierced as she turned to herself; she wasn’t different from them. She was dressed in similar modern wear, just that her wear was filled with shining silver all around her. "Charlotte!" The voice that woke her continued again. She slowly looked up, and a tall man was standing there, looking deep into her face and holding a sword by his side. "Because I threw you out yesterday night for not cleaning up your lousy body properly, you decide to sleep here? You left your husband hungry yesterday night, you reckless wreck!" The voice screamed as Ria panicked. She quickly touched her skin, and it pained her, showing she wasn't dreaming. She looked up, but a hand held her up quickly, the grip on her tight. She screamed in pain, still looking confused at him. "Are you deaf? Or has the rubbish you drank yesterday started affecting you, worthless Luna! How did I end up with someone like you? Hey, now go inside and pick up that trash. Moon from Royal Pack is coming today. Go clean up now!" He screamed and walked off. Ria staggered back, still looking confused. She turned slowly as she noticed a small girl who ran too close to her. She bent down and held her slowly. "Sorry, where is this?" The girl looked confused. "Shadow Pack," the girl said, looking confused at her. Ria's heart beat heavily as she vibrated a bit, pointing towards the man that left. "Wh... who was that?" she said, pointing at him. The girl gently removed her grip on her. "Alpha Klein. How have you forgotten your husband?" she asked, confusion on her face.
