The next morning, Fitzhugh followed Andrews through the curtain and into his office, which suddenly felt even smaller with the three soldiers awaiting him inside. The sergeant had already warned Fitzhugh of who had shown up, and more specifically that the Frenchman hadn’t. Squirming his way through the men, the captain managed to get behind his desk and gestured for the others to sit.
