Betty. When I opened the door, the plate in my hand nearly slipped from my fingers. Of all the people I’d expected to show up, it was Ethan. “Hi… Ethan!” I blurted, my words tumbling out before I could stop them, I’d just been thinking about him minutes ago and now seeing him standing felt unreal like he had listened to my thoughts and decided to come. “How are you?”I asked. “I’m well, Betty,” he responded standing on my doorway.
