Betty The warehouse came into view, a hulking mass of rust. The industrial district was deserted, the type of place where screams wouldn’t be heard. I parked, and sat for a moment, attempting to calm my breathing. The tracking device was oppressive in my shoe. The panic button dangled from my wrist. I stepped out and walked toward the entrance of the warehouse. The door was ajar and there was darkness through it. "Duke?" I called out. "I'm here." No response.
