Eliott and I went our separate ways after exiting his door. Before opening the door to my apartment, I turned back to see him entering the elevator. He gave me a small wave, which I returned, before opening the door and stepping inside. I could smell the barbecue chicken cooking in the oven and heard sizzling coming from that direction as well. Just like the rest of my life, I followed my nose. Once inside the kitchen I was able to see that the sizzling was coming from a frying pan that looked to have had cut fries in it. “Oooo, yummy!” I said, rubbing my hand over my empty stomach.
