“Thank you for coming,” Eliott said, releasing me from his embrace but still capturing my hand before we sat down. There was already a bottle of white wine sitting in an ice bucket with two empty glasses next to it. Eliott didn’t take his eyes off of me as if he was in disbelief that he was really seeing me. “What? Did you think I wouldn’t come?” I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. At this, he just chuckled and shook his head back and forth. “I was hoping you would, but I was afraid you might push me away again.” He said, lowering his gaze to the table for a moment before returning his eyes to my face. My heart rolled at the admission and I squeezed his hand. “I am sorry that I haven’t been me in so long. This was very traumatic for me and I wasn’t sure I would ever be the same again
