There was a chorus of beeps and alarms going off as I picked my head up off of the sheets. What I found was utter chaos being let unleashed around me. Doctors and nurses flew into the room as Brian’s monitors continued to beep uncontrollably.
I sat there in shock until one of the nurses started pulling me towards the door. “Please clear the room!” She said hastily, her eyes shifting from our shocked faces to Brian lying still on the bed. I didn’t register my feet moving, but I was slowly getting closer to the door. Once Brian’s mom and I were outside of the room, Eliott was nowhere to be seen, the nurse slammed the door shut behind us.
