“I choose…” I started, but stopped to take a deep breath. I felt my heart break as I looked up into Eliott’s eyes and saw nothing but warmth and concern reflecting back at me. I took one more big breath before I could continue on.
“I choose to see where the night takes us with no regrets.” I said, and felt the weight on my shoulders lessen ever so slightly. I still felt heavy from what I was doing to Brian, but the pure joy that Eliott was trying to restrain was enough to make me feel like I had made a good choice. Was it the right choice? I’m not really sure, but it felt like something I had to do deep down in my heart.
