“Hello?” I answered the phone without looking at the caller ID figuring that it was Brian. It was around the time he was supposed to call and no one else every really calls me.
“You sound breathless.” Said Brian on the other end of the call. “Did you almost miss the call?” He asked, knowing me all to well for leaving my phone places and having to rush around trying to anser it all the time. That was why I much preferred text messages.
“Yeah, you know how it is.” I said, shrugging my shoulders and enjoying hearing his laugh on the other side of the phone.
“I sure do.” He said and I could hear the smile in his voice. “I’m sorry I haven’t texted or called. The time change, meetings, and exciting sights have kept me preoccupied. I promise to make it up to you when I get home tomorrow tho
