Chapter Six

I had flew back to New York the morning after. Normally the flight to New York seems quite boring and slow but unfortunately for me, it was like it was going quicker out of spite.  Spite because I was a heartless b***h who was about to break her loving boyfriends heart. Part of me wishes I never left, I wish I never got on that flight to fly home but the other half of me is glad I did, I was glad to see Grey again. To know that he wants me just as much as I want him.  Me and Grey couldn't be a couple in this life time. We both stood too lose too much if we did.  "So you were actually speaking to Greyson Scott?" I snapped my eyes to Charlie, "Holy s**t babe!" He exclaimed and for a second I was debating if something had slipped from my mouth while I was deep in thought.  "W-what?" I stammered.  "You were telling me about Greyson Scott, you were at his house party? Did you get his autograph?" He rushed out, "Check out my girl hanging with fame huh?" He wriggled his eyebrows with a grin on his face.  "No." I shook my head, "it's not like that, Grey and I were...we've known each other since we were kids. Our parents are close and he's my brothers best friend." I told him, the grin still in place across his face.  Charlie looked like he was fan girling out on me. It almost didn't suit his cooperate look, suited and booted with messy blonde hair and sharp blue eyes. He was nothing like...I shook my head, I wasn't even going to think about it.  "So if one day we get married, does that mean I'll be seeing him around often?" Charlie asked and I stilled choking on my coffee, splurging it on the table in front of me.  Marriage.  "Charlie we've only been together 7 months."I stated matter of factly, he turned to me with a beaming smile.  "I know but I love you more than anything and it will happen one day beautiful." He promised.  If I didn't feel like s**t, I definitely did now. The thought of breaking his heart made me sick. Here he was promising me a future with marriage and a family. I threw it all away, I threw it away for someone who probably only wanted his next conquest. To be another notch on Greys bedpost, I scoffed infuriated.  I wanted to blame him for all of this, he knew about Charlie but his advance continued. I wanted to punch his pretty face to a pulp. He's been gone 15 years and in the space of two days he turned my life upside down.  Then there was the truth and not the facade I told myself, what I felt with Grey was real, raw and primal. He made me feel like I was a teenage girl again, he excited me and challenged me all in one. He made me feel something in myself that I never knew I was capable of having, only he could do that and I only ever wanted him to do that from this moment on.  So when it came to laying in bed with Charlie last night, I tried to ignite the passion that I felt with Grey. I waited for the butterflies...they never came, I waited for the dominance and raw primal need but that never came either. When Grey breathed against my lips, my body went into over drive and there's nothing when I kiss Charlie.  I looked up to him as he continued to speak away, I wasn't taking his words in and for a moment I thought to myself 'has it always been this way?'. Have I always had this side to me or was it something that only Grey could bring out in me? Was I happy with this mundane relationship that promised me marriage, a stable future and a family?  I wasn't.  In the same breath, I loved him. I didn't want to break his heart and me apparently being the heartless b***h I am, couldn't tell him.  "What do you think babe?" He asked looking over to me with raised brows, I shook my head placing my attention on him.  "What did you say?" I asked, "Sorry I was in a day dream." I told him causing him to frown, he walked around my dining table placing both his hands on each arm and rubbing tenderly.  "You ok?" He asked concerned, "You've been a little worked up since you got back home." He concluded, I looked up to his beautiful blue eyes.  Just tell him god damn it.  "I'm fine." I lied, "I'm just a little tired that's all." I told him with a small smile.  He leaned down placing a soft kiss to the corner of my lips before pulling back with a cheeky smile on his face.  "Have a nap so you can be recharged for tonight." He winked causing my stomach to drop.  Of course he would want s*x, he hasn't seen me in a week but I tried last night and I couldn't. I couldn't give myself to him physically but at the same time, I couldn't break his heart.  "Well you might need to wait for that." I forced a laugh, "Gods monthly spell has graced me." I lied again and I felt horrible but if it would keep him from attempting any s****l activities, I was content with that.  "Why didn't you tell me?" He frowned, "Do you want me to start a bath? Do you need painkillers?" He asked attentive as ever, he was too good for me and I wasn't deserving of it.  "I'm fine." I told him placing a small kiss on his cheek, "Your going to be late for your meeting." I told him looking to clock on the wall behind us.  "Shit." He replied running towards the kitchen and lifting up his briefcase. "If you need me send a text babe, I love you!" He shouted while running out the door and I watched as it slammed shut behind him.  "I love you too." I whispered back.  I made my way into the office at mid day, I told myself that I was on vacation but it was a good distraction from all the mess that currently consumed my life. I took a quick meeting with my assistant, catching up on the in-going's and out-goings on the things that I have missed since leaving the office.  I filled out paperwork requiring my signature, approved a publication for a magazine that was launching next week and updated all relevant paperwork before leaning back in my chair and exhaling.  One thing I did love about this office was the panoramic windows that looked out across New York. It gave me a feeling of freedom in this confined and cooperate space.  I looked towards my computer screen, eyeing the cover for the magazine that would be getting launched next week. All speculations and never black or white. I couldn't help but look at the people that had been slandered over the front with accusations, it infuriated me in every way possible. These people are human. They have as much right to privacy as I do, they could be going through harder times than any of us could ever fathom but still we write and publish, the consumer believes.  I never wanted to write lies and here I was publishing them. I was all for non-fiction. I loved delivering the truth, telling the story straight from the persons mouth and when I studied, I was able to do that. The beauty of a journo is that they can travel to all extents for the truth, lazy if they lie and speculate but that's the excitement of the work. The truth at the end was rewarding, something you would be proud to put your name to. You are the main source, your not a third party claiming to be a source by the whispers they had heard.  "Do you always stare at your computer like you want to smash it?" I gasped with fright turning to face none other than Grey, I groaned.  "How the hell did you get in here? Where is my assistant?" I asked looking behind him to the office door, there was no sign of Abby.  "I told her I was an old friend coming to surprise you." He smirked, "Poor girl, I thought she was going to faint. I signed her shirt for her hope you don't mind. " He smirked, "Ali is cute." I looked towards him, my eyes narrowed and a glare forming.  "Her name is Abby." I growled out.  "Abby then...give me credit, I was close." He said defensively holding his hands in the air.  I took in his appearance. He supported a stylish pair of dark denim jeans, converse and white shirt that was rolled up at the sleeves. His leather jacket was in his hands but he had now placed it on the chair opposing my desk.  "What do you want Grey, I'm busy." I told him pretending to scroll through my computer, the more and more lies I seen on the print the more my mood soured.  "How can you be busy Ems?" He asked, "If I remembered correctly, your supposed to be on leave are you not?" He asked with raised brows...cocky prick.  "It's not illegal to come into my workplace and keep an eye of things Grey." I retaliated in an instant, throwing myself backwards into my chair with a sigh. "How are you here?" I asked not daring myself to look at him.  "Well I don't know if you know but I'm kinda the lead singer for a rock band, Grey Lightning. You may have heard of them you may not have, it's no biggie. We have a four night sell out at Maddison Square Gardens so needs must you know." He told me shrugging his shoulders, smart little f**k.  I looked towards him, his eyes locked with mine as he quickly took my appearance in. All playfulness left him when his eyes returned to mine.  "Have you told Charlie boy what happened?" He wasn't asking to know, he was demanding to know.  "I tried and I can't." I breathed out, "I feel like a piece of s**t, he deserves better and he deserves to know the truth but I can't bring myself to break his heart." I told Grey with a sigh looking out the window towards New York.  "What about my feelings?" He snapped causing me to scoff.  "What about them?" I challenged. "Don't worry Grey when I break his heart you can feel all mighty. This is nothing more to you than a conquest." I snapped back watching his eyes blaze over with anger.  "If you truly believe that and if you were truly happy with him, you wouldn't have gave in so easily." He assumed, "You would have pushed me away and told me to stop, you didn't. You begged for me to continue. You don't love him Ems." He finished his features looking lethal.  "I do love him." I barked back.  "Your not in love with him Ems." He fired back, "There's a difference between loving someone and being in love with them. Your comfortable with him that's it." I stood up from my chair furiously storming over to him, he never moved an inch.  "I swear to all that is.." "Emily...Charlie is calling, I'll put him through to you now." I stopped my assault on Grey with wide eyes turning to the intercom, I reached forward and almost succeeded on hanging up until I was pulled back by Grey.  We struggled for a few minutes but he easily over powered me, turning my front to his back and holding me close with a hand over my mouth.  "Hi babe." His voice spoke causing me to wince, I couldn't dare to speak when Grey was holding me like this. My mind had yet again turned to mush.  "Emily is busy at the minute, I'm her friend Greyson." I turned to Grey with a glare wondering what game he was playing, he placed his finger against my lips tighter while his eyes held an unspoken warning.  "Greyson?" Charlie spoke up, his voice pitching. "Greyson Scott?" He asked to confirm and I could tell there was excitement in his voice. "That's me." Grey replied with a smirk as he looked down at me, his hand subconsciously rubbing circles on my side.  "Emily has told me so much about you!" He burst out causing Grey to turn to me with raised brows. "This is crazy, I'm actually talking to Greyson Scott. Holy s**t, your famous dude!" Charlie stated like it was the understatement of the century. "Maybe just a little." Grey replied in a cocky tone before looking down to me, I knew that look well. It was the same look he gave me before his little stint the other day. "So Emily has told you about me huh? What did she say?" I froze wondering what he was doing and where he was going with this.  "She told me that you's were best friends when you's were little and she said she caught up with you over the weekend when she was back home. This is crazy man!" He breathed out in disbelief but I couldn't concentrate, Greys hands began to wonder.  One hand kept firmly against my mouth, the other slowly made its way down my midsection teasing me. His head was buried in my neck, his breathing sharp against my skin.  "Oh we caught up indeed." Greyson silently snickered against my neck before placing a kiss at the delicate area, my legs almost went but Grey held me there rooted to the spot.  "She's thinking of heading back in a few days." Charlie stated, "It would give me a chance to meet you. You's seem to be pretty close and it would give me an opportunity to meet her family." Now greyson stilled behind me and tensed, something with that statement didn't settle well with him.  "I'm here for the next four days." Grey replied placing another kiss on my neck as his hands continued down south.  Part of me was happy that I was only wearing a little summer dress while the other half completely regretted my decision.  "We have a sell out." Grey continued, his hand reaching under my short dress and skimming over my panties. He quickly put his hand up to my mouth before a moan could escape my lips. "We have an after show party tonight, I would be more than happy for you to come along." Grey told him while gently caressing my inner thighs. My core was throbbing and I was melting in his hands.  "f**k, yeah I would love to." Charlie almost squealed back, "I can't believe this, I really am speaking to you aren't I?" Grey smirked against my neck.  "Yeah it's really me." He replied, "You'll love the after show party." He confirmed, his hand had now slipped past the line of my panties.  The moment is long fingers reached my c**t, my legs went like jello. Luckily Grey held me in place. I couldn't care at this moment who was on the phone, I just cared about his hands on me. Giving me pleasure that I've never felt before. He placed a finger into my mouth and I bit gracefully to hide the moans that were wracking my body.  "What are they like?" Charlie asked eager to know.  "Your so wet Ems." He whispered huskily in my ear, "is this why you were in a little mood this morning huh? Lover boy couldn't get you off could he?" I shuddered feeling the first jolt of electricity to race to my core.  "Oh you'll love them Charlie." He smirked out, " It's a tit fest." A soft kiss was placed against my neck again. "Name any girl that you want Charlie, you like Spanish? Armenian? British?" I closed in at the conversation, nudging Grey to his stomach. He tensed and applied more pressure to my c**t in delicious circles.  I was so close.  "Holy s**t you can just pick?" Charlie sounded intrigued, "British girls are just so f*****g sexy!" He exclaimed with excitement and grey smirked against my neck.  "You need to ask me baby." He whispered against my ear, "Tell me what you want." He continued rubbing against my c**t with more friction, I let out another moan that was blocked with his hand thankfully.  In a swift moment, he turned me around to him in his harms pulling me closer and lifting my chin up so my eyes reached his.  "Hmm they're fiery for sure." Grey replied to Charlie who was still raving away in the background about his fantasy's.  "Grey please." I begged for only him to hear, he placed his forehead against mines. His eyes locked on mines, his hard rod pressing against my tummy adding to the pressure I was now feeling between my legs.  "Come for me Angel." He removed his fingers from my c**t, finding my opening and filling me up with his long fingers as I entered a state of euphoria.  I clenched his shirt, my legs shaking uncontrollably as he held me up against him. He didn't stop. He kept going and going and before I knew it, I was gone again causing him to groan lowly before he removed his fingers. Pulling me even closer towards him if possible, keeping me stable on my legs that were about to give away any minute.  I breathed deeply holding him to me, one of his large hands rested on my ass while the other massaged slow circles into my back.  "What about you Greyson? What's your type of girl?" Charlie asked enthusiastically in the background.  I watched as Grey pulled away slightly, lifting his fingers up to his mouth and sucking my juices away with a pop. He groaned like it was his favourite popsicle, his eyes never leaving mine in a heated haze.  "I think I'm favouring Italian now." He replied huskily.  Holy s**t.
