Chapter Fourteen

The rest of the boys finally got up and had something to eat, leaving shortly after to head back to their rooms to shower. It was now only myself and Grey sitting across from one another on stools, now on our second cup of coffee.  I had some some scramble and skipped out on the bacon and toast, Grey however stacked his plate high before scoffing it all and demanding me to have more.  "Emily...Listen we need to talk." He sighed, wiping his lips with a napkin and pushing his plate to the side.  "Sure go for it." I replied anxious to hear what he was going to say to me, I had finished my food so I just took a sip of my coffee and gave him eye contact. "I don't want whatever is going on here, to hurt you." Was he admitting there was something? "That's not my intention." He told me seriously as I have a small nod.  "I understand." I replied quietly.  "However, you need to understand a few things to avoid yourself from being hurt." He sighed, "I don't want a relationship Ems nor do I want to date." My heart sank but I nodded again slowly anyways.  "Understood." I confirmed again.  "However I f*****g love having s*x with you." He growled out conflicted, "Because of you, I'm constantly hard. However, I'm going to give you two options and whichever you choose I will respect." He told me and I again nodded taking a sip of my coffee.  "Either we end whatever this is and remain friends." He gave me option one, "Or we can keep how we are, no strings attached, remain friendship and keep this strictly private between the two of us" he pointed between us and I considered his option.  I had the option of just being his friend, no s*x and back to normal. I also had the other option of basically being friends with benefits and keeping it as a secret between ourselves. Neither option was what I wanted, I wanted Grey one hundred percent, not only for a dirty rump in the sheets.  I made my decision in the hopes that maybe one day, he will let me in and it could grow to something more. I would take however long it may take to have Grey as mines, I cared about him too deeply just to through it away and think I would be happy as only his friend.  I stood up and slowly walked around the island towards him, he watched me cautiously trying to figure out my intentions with his muscles tensed. He turned to face me and I scooted myself between his two legs, his hands instinctively going to my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck and placed a small kiss on his cheek before resting my head in the crook of his neck.  "Option two." I breathed out against his skin and I could swear with a deep sigh his whole body relaxed holding me tighter to him. "Emily you need to promise me that your sure about this." He mumbled into my hair causing shivers to run down my spine, "I know what I want and a relationship is definitely not the answer, this thing is purely no strings attached and I need you to understand that." He continued as I mulled on the thought.  Maybe my decision was stupid, however in my head it was an experiment. We did have amazing s*x, no one could compare but for me there was something more and there always has been. This was an opportunity to steal my bad boy rockstars heart and I would rather settle for that than walk out the door and never speak to him again.  "I promise." I whispered back.  "Then I'm letting you know in advance that the family dinner that's on Sunday...I'm bring a date Ems." He said much clearer.  Well there goes my heart sinking into a deep put into my stomach, he was bring a date? He told me he doesn't do dates. I felt almost angry at the statement but the wave of jealously washing over me was much worse. I wanted to scream at the thought of him being near another girl. Why couldn't I be his date? I don't care for one second what our families think.  What did this 'date' have that I couldn't offer?  Was she skinner? More intelligent? A model? Someone of status perhaps?  "Oh really...who?" I played off as cool as possible realising some of the grip from my hands on his shoulders, I didn't realise that I was clenching.  "Allison." He mumbled just as I seen red.  My mind felt like it was spinning. I'm not good enough for him to date but she is. The same girl he'd hooked up with in the past and their texts slandered across the media. I was almost offended and couldn't understand the reason. I'm all for girl power and empowering women but Allison was not only fake by her personality but fake by her appearance.  I'm sure when she sold the story with their texts she has her t**s circled in a catalogue.  "Allison?" I asked before I could stop myself tilting my head back, "Your bringing Allison to a family dinner as your date?" I asked incredulously but to him it was probably confusion that was displayed over my face.  "Emily we just spoke about this." He muttered pushing me back slightly, "No strings attached means no commitments, which means I could still do whatever I want and you can do whatever you want." He told me sternly speaking his words clear and concise.  "I understand that." I almost snapped back. "I just don't understand. You told me that you didn't date remember? Now your bringing Allison of all people to a family dinner?" I rushed out crossing my arms across my chest and stepping back to I could lean against the countertop.  "I don't date." He snapped back in a flash. "I'm just curious that's all." He admitted letting out a breath he probably her knew he was holding before running a hand through his hair.  Frustrated Grey? You f*****g should be.  "Do you like her?" I asked my tone more quieter than before. He turned to look at me, slightly narrowing his eyes before sighing.  "I don't know."  "You don't know? Clearly you do if your asking her to be a date to the family dinner." I accused causing him to groan and push the stool back with his long legs.  "Emily I'm not discussing this with you." He groaned running his hands through his hair, "I told you that this is no strings attached and you promised you would be fine with that." He waved his hands in the air to elaborate his point but I just glared.  If your going to through me to one side and make me sit across from you with your 'date', you could have at least made it a pretty sight instead of someone like her. I wanted to scream.  "I understand." I told him calmly, "So does that mean I can take a date too then?" I asked sweetly. "I mean this is no strings attached right? Your taking a date so your nights occupied and having someone beside me to chat with will be good." I added. I wasn't going to let him think for a second that he was actually getting the better of me. Grey seems to like games so I'll play him at his own. However given the fact that he's standing in front of me, shoulders and jaw tensed, clearly he wanted these rules to apply to him only.  "If that's what you want." He forced out and I almost smiled at the way he was standing in front of me. He looked pissed and I felt elated that me being with someone other than him bothered him.  Maybe he should learn and understand that the way he is feeling right now, is the way I'm currently feeling too. Nevertheless, I will play along.  I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone, scrolling down my contacts I stopped at one that I knew would piss him off more than earthly possible.  Maddy.  I opened a new message and began typing away, I watched from the corner of my eye as Grey stalked a little closer.  Hey Maddy, it's Ems.  Are you free this Sunday? I have a dinner with my family and I was wondering if you would like to come and meet them? Grey and Jase will be there too. Let me know ASAP :) "What are you doing Ems?" Grey sighed frustrated across from me, his eyes narrowed.  "Nada." I relied with a sweet smile, looking back down to my phone as a text message fired in.  Hi Princess ;) I'm assuming by your text and invitation that Grey is bring a girl?  I frowned as I typed my reply.   Hi Prince :) You guessed right. Will you come? Pretty please? "Emily." Grey snapped his voice raising as I quickly looked up to him, he looked wild and ready to pounce. His jaw was clenched and his breathing accelerated, "What are you doing?" He almost sneered out. Oh boy he was pissed.  "Chill Jeez." I sighed dramatically rolling my eyes before focussing back on my phone.  Oh I'll definitely be there. See you Sunday Princess;) I smiled.  See you Sunday!:) A loud bang against the countertop of the kitchen island startled me. I looked to Grey and down to his fist that just assaulted the poor marble material with a frown. "For the tenth f*****g time, what are you doing?" He fumed with a snarl. What crawled up his ass?  "Well it wasn't ten times it was actually.." "Emily!" He roared making me jump.  "I was just texting and asking my date if they were free on Sunday." I sighed looking over his features, he looked wild. "You need to chill out Grey." I told him as I lifted my now almost cold coffee to my lips. Disgusting.  "Are they free?" He inquisitively asked his tone changing to somewhat of a normal state.  "Yes." I smiled, "He is free and he's going to meet me at Jase's house before we head along to my parents." I smiled sickly sweet as I lied.  I made a mental note to text the address to Maddox incase he didn't know where Jase stayed.  "Who?" He almost demanded, it certainly didn't sound like a question.  "You'll have to wait until Sunday." I shrugged before turning around and placing my empty cup into the basin.  I walked around the island towards him, wrapping my arms around his neck and forcing his body to face me. He groaned at the unplanned movement for his body.  "Oh are you a Mr Grumpy?" I cooed sarcastically, grabbing his cheeks and giving them a small squeeze as your would a child. He scrunched his nose in distaste causing me to giggle.  His hands found my waist and he pushed himself forward so his head rested on my shoulder, his tall legs crouched to lower to my height. I smiled at the gesture and my hands found their way into his hair, messing it up more than it already was while massaging gentle circles into his scalp.  "Come to bed." He whispered against my neck causing me to giggle.  "We only got up a few hours ago Grey, I'm not tired." I told him through my laughter.  "I don't want to sleep Ems." He whispered huskily causing me to still. Oh.  "I don't understand you Grey." I whispered against his shoulder, "It's like one minute you want to throw me through a window or something..." "I would never lay a violent hand on your body." He told me sternly before pulling away to rest his forehead against mines. "God help any man that does." He told me threateningly, I smiled at his sweet statement and placed a quick peck on his cheek.  "I know but it's just one minute your ice cold and the next your like a scorching fire." I continued, "It's like there is no in between, you tell me to do things and it makes you angry when I do them so why tell me to do it in the first place?" I sighed, "I would prefer you to tell me so I can understand, it's just confusing that's all." I muttered quietly as he pulled a loose strand of hair away from my cheek and tucked it behind my ear.  "I don't want you to understand." He frowned. "There's too much to understand and I will never burden you with that."  "You know I'm always here to talk right?" I asked leaning back with furrowed brows. "If you need someone to listen to you, I'm here. If you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here. I've got your best interests Grey, I want to help in whatever way I can." I told him truthfully as a devilish smirk grew on his face.  "Do you want to know what I need right now Angel?" He asked with a sarcastic sigh but his smile was shining through.  "What?" I asked interested.  "I need you naked..." he whispered huskily gently kissing my cheek, "on my bed with your legs spread." Well that speech worked wonders, not.
