Chapter Three

2810 Words
Six lightning cocktails later, three trips to the bathroom empowering the women that we rule the world and two hours of dancing later...I was tipsy, maybe drunk but for now I'll go with tipsy.  My eyes hadn't landed on Grey for the rest of the night but on trips to the bathroom, I could see him still outside by the pool chatting and laughing away with Jase. The sight made me smile.  "This party is the best f*****g party ever!" A boy screamed from my left while standing on a chair, I laughed, watching as he tried to take a sip of his drink and completely missed his mouth.  Kate was giving her best moves in front of me, we spent most of the night dancing with each other but after meeting a few girls in the toilet they were now part of our entourage. Standard for a party.  The music was playing loudly and I let it engulf me, music was always my safe haven. It always brought me happiness.  "Oh look out, here comes Grey!" Kate yelled over the music, I barely heard her yell as my eyes trained to the door. I couldn't see him for the amount of girls running to his rescue, I scoffed at the thought.  He broke through the crowd and shockingly into the arms of a waiting Allison who hauled him over to her, if dry humping was dancing she gave it a good go.  Everything from her fake blonde extensions to her fake boobs pissed me off. She was wearing a red dress that was barely there, maybe she bought it from the child section because it didn't cover her ass in the slightest. Her fake boobs almost falling out as she leaned over in front of Grey.  I closed my eyes before bitterness swelled in me, raising my hands and swallowing the last of my drink. I quickly handed the empty glass to Kate, who thankfully placed it onto a table in one piece.  I felt someone's hands circle around my waist, their hips pressing up against my ass. I was too lost in the music to care at this point.  "Aren't you a gorgeous little thing?" He breathed against my neck, his hands running up my stomach dangerously close to my cleavage.  "Hands to yourself buddy." I told him pushing his hands down off my stomach as he continued to grind against my hips.  "Sounds like this pretty little girl needs to learn her manners." He hissed out, grabbing my hips tightly and pulling me back to him. I grabbed his hands trying to pry them off my hips, they dug in deeper causing me to wince.  "She told you to back the f**k off." I froze opening my eyes and looking straight forward to Kate, she shrugged accepting the help with her eyes holding an apology.  The man lifted his hands from my hips and I turned to Grey, supporting a face of thunder. He was pissed, I was drunk and by god did he look breathtaking.  "Hands are off dude." The guy replied walking to the other side of the room, I watched as Greys fists clenched beside him. His knuckles turning white.  I pushed myself over to him, I'm drunk so this is perfectly acceptable and wrapped my arms around his neck. The moment his smell hit my senses, I was again mush in his hands and a goner.  He didn't even look surprised at my approach, his hands instantly found my waist pulling me closer to him if possible. I felt the warmth of him pressing against me and that feeling of need and want rushed back to me quicker than lightning, no pun intended.  "Emily." Grey said my name softly as my eyes locked with his.  "Grey." I giggled throwing my head forward and resting it against his chest, he moved with my body to the music. His moves graceful and fluent.  "Are you drunk?" He asked me with a frown.  "No. Maybe. Possibly." I told him with another drunken giggle, god I'm so going to regret this in the morning.  "That was silly wasn't it?" He asked me, looking down to me from his towering height. Even in heels I stood no chance against him.  "Mmhmm." I sounded before looking up to him and getting lost in his eyes.  "Your biting your lip." He stated, his eyes darkening, my eyes holding a question. "What?" He asked furrowing his brows, eyes still trained on my lip.  "Dance with me?" I asked him and his muscles tensed beneath my hands, his eyes again locked on mine.  "Emily your drunk." He stated before lifting his head and looking in the direction the creepy guy walked away in just prior.  I lifted my hands to his face, pulling his attention back to me. His eyes held a burning flame of something I wasn't sure of, I stood on my tiptoes heading for his ear.  "Then help me dance it away." I whispered to him, instantly his grip became tighter and one arm circled my back resting just above my ass.  "I might upstage you." He told me with a smirk pulling his head back.  "Challenge accepted." I told him with a giggle feeling his hips beginning to move against mine. "I must warn you...I dance much better than Allison, Mr Rockstar" I smiled.  "Prove it." He smirked.  An hour later and the night was in full swing, drunken body's on the dance floor, including mines. Although I wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or the presence of Grey behind me but I couldn't care.  We had been dancing for a while now, enjoying the music and losing ourselves to the beat. Alcohol was coursing through me and I was feeling way to confident for my own good.  I turned to Grey, my arms sliding up his chest and around his neck. In this hectic room we stood in, he looked so peaceful and content. Attentive as he is, his eyes opened slightly to squint down at me, he smirked before closing them again. "Better than Allison?" I cheekily smiled up at him, confident in my dancing skills.  I could swear his hold tightened on me before he looked down towards me again, hips still swaying to the music and eyes intense as ever. I swallowed.  He leaned down from his towering height, his breath warm against the skin at my neck causing an array of emotions to swirl inside me and causing my heart to race.  "Maybe." He huskily breathed out against my ear, I froze and I knew he was smirking.  I leaned my head back stupidly, he was close. Maybe too close causing my breathing to become laboured. I looked into his eyes before they fell down to his lips, I wanted nothing more than to kiss those delicious lips.  My eyes snapped back to his and I could tell with the heated gaze he was returning, he knew. His muscles clenched beneath my hands, his jaw clenched and eyes closed. I was too intoxicated being in his presence.  Again, I felt myself becoming that 11 year old chasing after him desperately. I was stronger now and I can't, shouldn't allow him to make me feel this way. How is it possible for even one look to make me want to jump his bones?  15 years changes people a lot. Plenty of things have happened between this time, he wasn't that 13 year old boy anymore. He was different and taking in his appearance, he was definitely different.  I thought he was beautiful then but now...I shook my head thinking about it, definitely too hot to handle.  He's a hot shot rockstar and I could never compare to the models that left clubs with him, I was fooling myself if that was the case. Thinking about just having one night with him, it enticed me but scared me even more.  Grey apparently held too much of my interest for me to even consider a one night stand with him...I would always want more. Too many risks can come from that situation...leaving me broken hearted, Jase possibly losing his best friend and my parents losing the son they never had.  My mind was much, again as before his big brother act was in play. Scaring away the creep that was clinging from my waste, noticing I was drunk and trying to have my best interest. I was an i***t to think otherwise.  "I need some air." I told him pulling away from the warmth his body surrounded me in, he was watching me intently. His lips thin.  "Sure." He replied removing his hands from me and placing back into the depths of his pockets.  I retreated through the crowd and made my way back out to the pool area, lifting yet another lightning cocktail on my way out. I looked around for company immediately spying Jase who was talking to a bunch of guys, all that seemed familiar.  "Emily?!" Jase spotted me shouting me over, I immediately strutted towards him.  I was thankful for the cool midnight air, I felt like my body was on fire. Because of Grey. God, I was an i***t. The man who I've wanted for a lifetime was standing in there dancing, grinding his hips against mine and I left.  "You ok? You look a little flushed?" Jase asked concerned giving me a quick kiss to the cheek.  "I'm fine, I was just dancing that's all." I told him with a small smile turning to face his company. I immediately knew who they were.  Maddox, Ben and Johnathon...all the remaining members of Grey Lightning.  "Well hello beautiful, I'm Benny it's nice to meet you." Benny was the only one in a statement outfit, he was wearing a tux while the other guys where smart casual.  His handkerchief pocket held a pink tissue, his shoes polished to perfection. He looked good but nothing like Grey. Benny held a more feminine touch to his style, Grey was all man and nothing but walking s*x.  "Nice to meet you, I'm Emily." I told him extending my hand and laughing as he kissed the back of it like a true gentleman.  I watched as his eyes reached upto mines, brown does with messy brown hair. He was cleanly shaven with high cheekbones, if I wasn't crushing on his friend I would have been attracted.  "Oh I know." He winked with a smile before returning to his seat.  I then turned to Maddox and Johnathon, both looked similar in some way. Both supported blonde hair, Johnathon's was messy and Maddox's neatly styled. Completely different builds- Maddox was muscular and defined while Johnathon was slim with a little build to him. One thing I did notice was the tattoos, everyone of them was lined with tattoos but none of them enticed me like Grey's.  "Come and have a seat beside me Emily?" Maddox asked before Benny quickly jumped in.  "I'm gay she can sit next to me." He snapped at Maddox, "come sit with me sweetie?" He asked with a sweet smile causing Maddox to lean over and punch his arm.  I laughed as they continued to bicker between themselves, Johnathon just watched in amusement while supporting a cigarette with a long drag.  "Why are you's sitting up here?" They all turned their eyebrows raised, "I mean no one is near..." I concluded looking around a few yards back to the pool area. No guests were around us at all.  "I prefer parties with women that don't fan girl, it freaks me out." Maddox replied with a repulsed look on his face making me laugh.  "What's to say I wasn't a fan girl?" I asked crossing my arms across my chest, not missing how his eyes instantly went to my chest that I had stupidly pushed up in this slinky dress.  I immediately dropped them.  "Yeah your excused." He replied huskily with a smirk before leaning forward to grab a drink.  "Jase where have you been hiding this girl? I really don't see the resemblance." Johnathon stated with a smirk, giving me a once over before turning his attention back to him.  "f**k off dickhead." Jase replied grumpily.  "Jase takes his looks from Dad, I take mines from my Mum and her Italian roots." I confirmed with a smile, Maddox took a long drag of just cigarette. Lifting his foot to rest it against the table in front of him.  "I'd love to meet your Mum." He winked, Benny kicked him under the table. It was supposed to be delicate but it was very much noticed.  "Boys." Flutters erupted in my stomach, immediately I knew who it was. "You's enjoying the entertainment?" Grey asked standing beside me.  I took in his profile for the hundredth time that night, his jacket was now gone. His spiralling tattoos on display and a cigarette up at his mouth. Wow.  I felt a strange pull in my lower stomach, my thighs instinctively pulling themselves together. I'm done for and if I die right now, I'll die happily.  "The entertainment is piss." Maddox replied, I giggled as his grumpy face. I noticed Grey from the corner of my eye watching me but I kept my focus on Maddox.  "Your never pleased." Grey replied matter of factly.  "I would have had I not been invited to a sorority party at your mums house of all places." He complained, "Why here Grey? We could have been in a beautiful exotic country getting laid with girls that couldn't even scream English.." "I agree." Johnathon added.  "Instead we are here at your bloody mums house, brothers don't do this to each other. My d**k hasn't got any action since Copenhagen!" He growled the last part out, finishing his spurt of frustration.  "Ahh I remember her, redhead with huge tits." Johnathon smiled at the memory, "she was wild beneath the sheets." I shifted on my feet feeling uncomfortable with the discussion before me.  "She was wild." Grey laughed beside me, the odd feeling of raw jealously crept up my stomach forming bile in my throat. Do they just bloody share these women?  "A week from touring and you bring us bloody here." Maddox finished appalled.  "It's not that bad." Grey answered back, "If you want to give your d**k some action use your hand." He stated and I hid my snicker.  "I don't think I'll need my hand." Maddox smirked mischievously, leaning forward in his chair. "You ever been in a penthouse before Emily? The most comfortable bed that your little as.." "Enough." Grey spoke up from beside me, I turned to stare at him. Maddox must have stuck a nerve because his playful demeanour had gone.  "Dude that's my sister." Jase stated from beside me.  "I'll take your body to heights it's never.." "Your crossing the line Mad." Benny warned from beside him, he shared a look of understanding towards Grey.  "I'm just f*****g around." He smirked leaning back, "Winding certain people up brings me joy Emily." He smiled quickly glancing towards Grey before looking over to Jase.  "So...how long are you home for Grey?" I asked him trying to change the subject and to break the tension that had formed around us.  He took his eyes away from Maddox, he was pissed but they softened at my question.  "We fly out to the next leg of the tour on Monday." He replied throwing his cigarette into a dedicated sand bucket near by.  Two nights.  "Three more weeks and then rest period for two." Benny added but why did I feel so deflated that I only had such a short amount of time to catch up with Grey.  "Where are you's heading this time?" Jase asked with a smile, he was forever curious and forever dreaming.  "New York." Grey replied looking over to me, a small smile playing on his lips.  "Maybe you'll be on the same flight as Ems then?" Jase asked and I winced. Being in Greys presence made New York seem like something so minimal. The reason of why I was going crashed me back down to earth. Charlie. My sweet and tender love, whom I'd met last year while in New York. Here I was considering at one night stand at one point with a man that I haven't seen in 15 years while Charlie was waiting for me.  I felt sick.   "Flying back to work Ems?" Grey asked from beside me, his Grey eyes forever intense.  "Oh no, she's taken time off for a while." Jase butted in and I turned to him with a glare, "She's heading to see Charlie." He concluded making me wince at the sound of his name.  "Charlie?" Grey asked from beside me, curiousness gone and a demanding tone over taking his lips.  "Her boyfriend."
