Eleanor’s POV
I sat stiffly in the examination room of the pack hospital; I twisted my fingers nervously in my lap. Dr. Lillian Reynolds—our pack’s healer—sat across me.
I swallowed hard before forcing out a word. "Doctor… is there still any possible way?"
"Could I—could I still get pregnant?" I asked.
Dr. Reynolds sighed. "Eleanor… I’m so sorry," she said, and I already knew what she was going to say, but I can't bring my heart to accept it," she continued. "Just like I told you that day, the damage to your womb was severe. The scarring… it’s can't be treated. Your body can no longer sustain a pregnancy," she explained.
I took a deep breath. "But Doctor, could you—cd you do another test? Maybe things have changed. Maybe my body healed itself—" I asked.
