Although the appointment was for 5:30, it was 6:45 when the doctor saw them. Rosey tensed and craved a smoke.
Dr. Meganonski had to be tired from an obvious long day, but he seemed happy and professional. “So, Jade, it’s been a while since you’ve been in. Always good to see you although not for illness. How is school and life?” He subtlety seemed to take in her Goth attire and jewelry. She wore a cross pendant floral design choker necklace, a black dragon ear wrap, and a black lace tassels braceleting combination. Rosey didn’t object. Jade was a sexy young woman who looked good in her Goth attire.
Jade seemed guarded. “Okay. The usual stuff.”
“Boyfriend?” It came across so casual, like adults often ask kids.
