Chapter 3 Monday morning, Jade strode through the school halls, decked out in a new coat down to her lace-up boots. Thick silver buttons and wide outlines at collars, lapels, cuffs, and pockets looked awesome. She’d spent several minutes checking herself out before leaving home. She knew she drew dozens of stares and loved it. One Goth wanna-be stopped in the hall. “Jade, that’s the vintage uniform coat.
