3. 17-year-old ANGELS POV

Walking through the woods on my normal route to go meet up with Knight like every week and like every year on my birthday, I know he has his own special way of surprising me, which I love. You know, sometimes I look back on how much we've grown, especially him. I mean going from a beaten and bartered little boy to this insane attraction with his 6,8 height, his wavy black hair that stops just below his shoulders falling on his clear tan skin covered in tattoos and lord knows, I've never seen anyone with teeth that straight. It's crazy with the deepest dimples and, of course, those crystal blue shimmery eyes that remind me so much of mines I just get lost in them. I haven't throughout the years. I cant help but to admit the attraction is beyond there, and he brings me this different type of peace. I cant explain that even though i have a strong feeling Ryan is my mate, I'm starting to feel a pull towards him. I think we've gotten way closer. It's even getting hard to get my day away from him and Krissy to spend time with the Knight. He's been very possessive over me more than usual. My parents and his parents have noticed as well, and Luna Stacy had been taking me under her wing when she noticed how her son had been acting around me. Ever since this has been happening, Alpha Roman, Luna Stacy and my parents have been having more meetings in the alpha office, teaching me pack matters and how to deal with them. Luna Stacy even made the comment once that even if I'm not Ryan's mate I would definitely be some lucky alpha's Luna, because the grace I carry in me makes both of us giggle and let's just say we received a low, deep growl from Ryan. So all the signs are there and even though I had a crush on Ryan in another life where I wouldn't have a mate, I could see me and Knight being together taking him away from the path destiny has chosen for him.

As I made my way to the clearing where we normally meet, it was quiet but not a peaceful quiet no not that at all, more of a deathly quiet, the quiet before a brutal storm. In the middle of the field i see my parents standing frozen, and I'm wondering what they're doing here in me and Knights secret spot, hoping they didn't find out about him.

Mom Dad, what are you doing here? I laughed nervously hoping they were just walking around while protroling the boarder, but the closer I walked up to them, I noticed their eyes were static silver like a blank channel on the TV, stopping dead in my tracks when I noticed, and I took a step back scared out of my right mind.

Mo... my voice cracked before the words could fully come out. Tears welling up in my eyes.

A smooth deep voice is carried through the wind that makes my skin crawl. As I take a better look at this man, there's no doubt this is Lucifer, Knight's father, if I can even call this monster that.

I scrunch up my face in confusion, but before I can ask what he's talking about, he's already explaining.

He gives this sinister smile, and I'm just frozen in my spot, heart pounding. He snaps his fingers and these creatures, like things, crawl out of my parents' faces and eyes like black ooze and, just like that, there looking around fear evident in their eyes as they look at me. My mother tries to rush to me as her eyes darken. I can hear her mind link to the alpha stating our location and calling him for help, which is something I've been able to do since I was a child. Another abnormal feature about me and I heard the alpha told them they were coming. I see my father attempt to shift into his wolf, but before he can even get fully shifted, I see those same creatures grabbing his front paws that have already shifted and his still human form back legs and pull. The first cracking sound of his bones and his wolf whimpered once before the ripped his body into five pieces. My mother dropped and screamed in agonizing pain from the loss of her mate. With trembling, I started to run to my mother as I saw the demons start to demolish my father's body parts fighting over his head, legs and arms and one demon just dipping his heart out to eat. My back leg was grab from behind and i land right in front of my mother on the ground seeing her claw away at her chest from the loss of my father. But just before I reached out to her, I saw a demon's huge foot rush forward and crush my mother's skull, splattering blood all over my face. I don't even look back as I hear the alpha and Luna coming up hearing their paws hit the ground knowing they felt the pack-bound connection break from losing the beta couple. To frozen in horror to tell them to run as fast as they could tell the pack to hide, sound the alarms, but I was stuck staring at my mother's lifeless eyes too.

The Wolf Kind is so beneath us gods. It's kinda boring just killing them so fast, don't you think?

He says so calmly, like he didn't just murder my parents in cold blood. He walks up to me and squats down to my body frozen in shock, kicks what's left of my mother's body over like it's a piece of trash just to squat down so me and him are eye level.

He grabs my face in his hands and forcefully turns my head just in time to see Ryan's parents, the Alpha and Luna, being torn into pieces by these monsters just like my parents as their blood colors the flowers in the field and me in deep red. Between the blood dripping all over me and the link snapping from the death of our pack's leader, snapped me out of the shock and I let out a blood-wrenching scream as I thrashed on the ground pulling at my hair.

NOO STOP STOPP STOP IT. I'm hyperventilating trying to wake up from this nightmare. I feel like theres chains wrapped around me, like I'm trapped in a box. I cant even hear myself screaming. I stop hearing the creatures fighting over the alpha couples' bodies. All I hear is ringing in my ears. I cant even see straight at this point. what the f**k is happening.
