Sarah Lock said to be brave, and I was trying I really was. But the pain was too much. I couldn’t do it. It didn’t matter how much I tried. I couldn’t. It felt like I was being ripped apart. “You can do this Sarah; you need to concentrate.” Lock held my head on his lap, hiss fingers burying themselves in the thick fur of my cheek. I wanted to scream at him that I was trying. I just couldn’t do it. The pain was too much, too intense. I had always bee able to shift at will. Ince I was two years old, and my tigress had ripped out of my chubby little body because she had wanted to play with rough with Diablo and his friends. I had been the youngest saber to shift ever. And my control was advanced even at that young age. But all of that didn’t matter because I couldn’t shift now.
