Desmond shot up from his seat faster than lightning. Busting through the bedroom door, he found his mate on the floor bleeding from numerous cuts on her body. There was broken glass everywhere on the floor. All the windows in the room had shattered and left fragments scattered across the floor. But that wasn't the worst part. Her eyes were no longer their normal cerulean blue, but a startling gold swallowing her whole iris and making her look otherworldly. “Odessa.” His voice cracked as he approached her gingerly.
