"How do you feel?" Alaric asked her friend, who was still lying on the ground. He no longer looked to be in pain, but he still couldn't get up.
"My wolf is helping me heal. It will take at least an hour." Odessa nodded and rummaged through the bag she had found on the floor next to him. She took two plastic bottles of water.
She gave him one to sip and drank the other one.
"When you are ready to leave, call upon me." Corkis spoke, blending into the tree bark once again.
Surprisingly, it looked beautiful. It had changed into a more human-like form, with slanted eyes and flowers embedded into its head like flowing hair. But she still couldn't tell its gender.
