Annie's legs gave way. She slumped against the glass and slid down.
"And," I continued, "do you know that the Green family has already issued a statement distancing themselves from you?
"Your father said that what you did has nothing to do the Green family. Green family stock has dropped forty percent. He wishes he'd never had a daughter like you.
"Your mother said she tried to warn you, but you wouldn't listen. Now she's abroad and won't even accept your visitation request.
"All your fake friends, one by one, are coming out to spill the tea—how you usually bullied them, how you stole their boyfriends. One of them even produced a photo of you forcing her to kneel in high school."
