Before I can lose my nerve, I step out onto the lawn of Alpha Chi. Plush grass on a small hill, I pick a spot free of shade and spread out my towel. Campus is empty, I remind myself as I take off my cover up. I'd seen my sisters do it, seen them do it on busy school days - I could do it in front of an abandoned street. In a flash, I kicked off my shorts and laid down on the towel. My swimsuit wasn't anything to call home about, simple with clean lines, it performed its job, covering me up and at the same time revealing lengths of skin that rarely saw the light of day.
