For the first time in my life, I'm re-reading a book. And every line, every word is completely new, framed in a new perspective. Kellan's perspective. the margins of Dante are filled, riddled with emotional rants and notes, underlined words emphasize the story in a different, thrilling way. He's taken a book known for its dread inducing exposition and flipped it to a promise land. Through the pages, he's found the hints of light, the teasing of salvation and dragged them to the surface. Who the hell could do that with Dante? He was a better damn theologist than me. The comments ring around my head in his deep rumbling voice. I can almost hear the sarcasm when he points out what a twisted man Dante is. How Beatrice is wasted on him. Nate pulls me out of my hell centric heaven to take
