Calista The realization hit me like a bolt of lightning. This was a form, the secret hidden within me all along from the world. The rejection had triggered it, unleashing the power that had been dormant within me. I didn't know what this meant, I didn’t know how this was possible. I thought it was Circe all alone. The rejection might have triggered this sudden awakening, “Who are you?” My features were sharper, my canine elongated outside my mouth and eyes. The reflection in the stream showed an image that shocked me to my core, my once delicate, simple features now bore an eerie, predatory edge. My skin was pale, almost translucent, and my eyes glowed with an unnatural luminescence, a haunting mix of red and purple that seemed to have the capacity to pierce any soul that looked my way.
