“Have you been going to work since you were young?”
Ashley nodded her head.
“Life has been unkind towards me and my sister. After my parents divorced, my sister Grace and I have been staying with our mother. Later my mother remarried and went abroad. It’s just me and my sister.”
Linda hummed.
“So your parents left you and your sister alone?! Why would they do such a thing? Don’t they care about you?”
Ashley shook her head no.
“I haven’t seen my father since they got divorced. That’s a good thing since he likes to gamble and took drugs. He is probably dead by now. Either he was hacked to death by loan sharks, or he died of a drug overdose.”
Ashley didn’t bat an eye when he wished for his father’s death.
“You hate him, huh?”
Ashley nodded her head.
