Linda was happy when she finally saw people, but Ashley, who sat in the back row, suddenly patted her on the shoulder and said,
“Wait a minute!”
Linda was surprised.
“Stop the car.”
Linda stepped on the brake, and the car stopped.
“What’s wrong?”
Linda asked as she pulled the handbrake up.
“Don’t you think it’s weird that those armed officers never put down their guns?”
Ashley’s words made Linda curious for a moment. Linds turned her attention towards the officers and wondered why they were on guard even though they were civilians.
“Besides, what’s the need for those officers to carry guns if they wish only to save the people?”
