Chapter 5 The List Grows Longer Abe sat on his porch, watching the sunrise with his dogs at his feet. The creaking of his chair and the frogs croaking were the only sounds. He liked it that way. The noise of the city had always bothered him, especially when Pa had taken him into town when he was a boy. The world had been quieter back then though, at least from his perspective.
