Finding Some Truth

Allison's POV

Just my luck, I was twenty minutes late for the bus, which made it to where I was forced to walk twenty minutes down the road to the next bus stop, and thanks to the stupid weather, I will be drenched by the time I arrive at school. Could anything else go wrong today? Stepping off the bus at school, I was glad to finally be there, so I could change into my spare set of clothes. I always kept a fresh set due to all of the bullies that made me their play thing. Speaking of the devil, Lucy aka "Lucifer" seemed to be waiting for me at the front entrance. "Great", I whispered to myself!!! "Well if it isn't our sweet little Allison! We've been waiting for you! Lucy says with a fake smile. Before I knew it, two girls were holding me down and Lucy was kicking me. "This is for talking to him this morning", Lucy says in my ear. I don't even know what she's talking about, but when she turns her head, I see my chance to run.

I scurried off to the side of the school building, and hopped up to the window and slid it open. I've always been pretty limber, gymnastics are definitely a strong suit of mine. I climbed my way through the window and landed swiftly on the ground. WAIT!! Where does this window even lead too?? Turning around, I noticed that I was in a lockeroom. Not any lockeroom, by the smell of it, I was in the boy's lockeroom! Just great, could literally anything else go wrong? I for real need to stop asking myself that. I heard voices coming from the shower and I couldn't help but be curious as to who it was. So I crept around the corner to see James, one of the varsity baseball players, enjoying a hot shower. He was singing and swaying to the song Flowers. Before I could turn around, I heard a low gruff voice "Enjoying the show". James stated without even turning to face me.

I jumped at the sound of his voice, throwing myself into panic. As I spun around, I ran straight into someone's rock hard bare chest.

Electricity shot through my veins and I couldn't breathe. What was this feeling? Whatever it is, it feels so good. It's paralyzing. I looked up and came face to face with Xavier. "Just Breathe", Xavier said. That's the last thing I heard before everything went black.

Xavier's POV

Walking into the lockeroom, I could instantly smell her. What the heck? Where is she and why would she be in the boys' lockeroom? My questions were instantly answered, when I turned the corner and she basically fell into my arms. The sparks between us were going crazy. It took me a minute to realize she wasn't breathing. Does she feel this? "Breathe", I whisper in her ear. It's too late, as I sense her fading into unconsciousness. She goes limp in my arms, so I scoop her little frame up and head full speed to the nurses' station. "Xavier" The nurse bows in respect. "Please take us to your best room nurse. She doesn't know it, but this is our future Luna." I said this quietly so she wouldn't hear if she came too. The nurse then nodded and started to lead me to a sweat.

When the doctor came in, I told them I wanted her to have a full exam. So they began to undress her so they could put her in a robe. The first thing you could see were bruises. They were all different colors. some yellow, some black, and even some freshly made purple ones. All over her body. The nurses for sure wanted to say something but, I'm sure they could sense my tension and it made them all silent. As the Doctor came in, he motioned me to follow him to his office. I was hesitant but Milly, my favorite nurse, touched my shoulder and assured me she would watch over her.

The Doctor looked a lot more serious than normal. "Xavier, I'll be saying a lot of things that are going to make you upset. But please try to stay calm. He warned but in a very respectful manner. With a swift nod, he knew I understood. "She is very malnourished, I don't understand how or why, but she is. She also had two freshly broken ribs." Before he could say anything else, we heard blood-curdling screams from down the hall, and I flew out of his office towards her room.
