Emma has accepted her life as Anne, since there was no Sister Margret to go back to.
Safi was the best Mother She had ever seen and even more than Sister Margaret, Anne began to wonder if She was like that in her other life or not. Sienna on the other hand was all Sister Margret was to her, caring, loving and protective but wouldn't hesitate to correct her whenever she was wrong.
Hadrid was one strong person, He was part of the Marlowe's military and Scholars too, Suz was only in the Scholars League, Daro was in both too.
Sienna was home schooled, like Anne and She knew all the craft one should, to run a home, She made the best dresses just like Safi and the best honey cakes too which they wouldn't stop stuffing Anne with.
Sienna was betrothed to the Son of the Minister of Agriculture and Wealth, and Mr Find wants Anne betrothed to the Prince.
"Mother what is a Betrothal ?," Anne asked Safi who was boiling meat for Dinner, it was the first day of the week and Anne does not go to the shop instead She stays and learns how to sew from Safi and Sienna
Safi smiled and bent down to Anne's height,
"It means joining you with who you are to marry by your family,"Safi replied, caressing her cheek softly.
"Like you are with Father?"
"Yes, like I am with your Father,"
"I want to choose my own husband",
Safi was bewildered,
"What....... You are not allowed to do that, We know the best for you, so we choose, Children are bound to make mistakes",
"But I want to marry Zoran", Anne pouted
Zoran was the most handsome in the orphanage, he was too tall for his age and skinny like he doesn't eat while he could finish a cow.
Safi smiled,
"You have already met the Prince?" She asked,
Anne's mouth hung open,
"Zoran is the Prince?" She asked,
Safi smiled,
"Yes and he is very handsome", Safi replied
"Is he tall like Suz and skinny like he would be carried away like the wind?"
Safi laughed in amusement,
"You are calling your future husband skinny, that is not a nice word", She replied,
"He has dark hair, big eyes, pointed nose and a scar on his right brow?" Anne continued, eyes wide with excitement,
"He rarely leaves the Palace my Dear Anne, so where did you know all that about him" Safi asked with raised brows,
Anne covered her face with her little palms, her Rosy cheeks were red from blushing.
"Tell me," Safi demanded tickling her,
Anne fell to the floor, laughing so loudly,
"I want to marry him, He said he loves me," She blurted out still laughing,
"He did?" Safi asked, confused,
"Yes, he brought me honey cakes too and a bangle", Anne continued showing her a peculiar red bangle different from the rest, Anne had seen it in her cloth bag and remembered Zoran gave it to her and she hid it in her cloth bag so Sister Margret wouldn't question her, but She was confused as how Zoran was here too.
"Maybe they were destined to meet" She thought.
Safi left her on the floor and stood up, She was torn between happiness and confusion.
If Anne was telling the truth, then it would be easier making Anne the Prince betrothed, but since the Prince does not leave the Palace and Anne only goes to the Father's shop and back, "How would they possibly meet each other to even go on to confess feelings to each other" She thought,
"Is anything the matter, Mother?" Anne's voice brought her out of her thoughts
"No, I am thinking of what you just told me" Safi replied, turning the meat into the dishing plate, She offered one the Anne.
"Thank you Mother," Anne said with a Smile, "Don't worry, I will make sure I pass the exams so I would officially be with Zoran", and with a happy dance, She ran out of the kitchen.
Mr Find stood by the door and listened to their conversation,
"If Anne was speaking the truth, then the key of Marlowe would soon be in his hands"
He smiled and walked into his study.
ELSEWHERE...........
Zena stared as the man danced to the beat no one played, She was already regretting her decision of coming to meet this mad man who is said to have the solution to every problem there is.
"Your Son is possessed by a demon," He announced, "That is why you are here",
Zena was unmoved, "He must have been told about the Prince by people, almost everyone in Marlowe knew something was wrong with the Prince".
"But He is not possessed" The Dancing Man stopped, "He is the demon"
Zena chuckled,
"Because you are a demon too" The Man stared into her eyes,
Zena's eyes turned dark with a single shaped golden glow like a seed of rice, She lifted him up as if to choke him.
The man laughed,
"Daughter of Raka, what do you seek in our kingdom?"
Zena threw him with a huge force but He stood on his feet instead,
"How do I control him" She asked the Man,
"You know the answer, Daughter of Raka" The man replied laughing like a lunatic,
"I mean a temporary control, till She is here", Zena's voice filled with impatience,
"You or him, one a Devil would be, who would you choose" The man replied and he was gone with the wind, His laughter echoed in the night sky.
Zena touched the necklace she wore, Removing it would bring more consequences than She can handle, She had kept her life a secret for a long time and She doesn't want to jeopardize it for anything.
The Kingdom of Raks must possess the earth and She, The first Princess of Raka would not let anything jeopardize their victory, She would make all the sacrifices She could even if it cost her life.
She turned, Her face towards home, more determined than ever.
He watched as She left, an amused smile on his lips.
Marlowe was the biggest kingdom, So there were bound to be quests to take over by all the creatures that lived.
"good, bad, good, bad, good, bad........" He sang,
Let the best side win
He was going to watch and having set everything in place, He was going to watch.
He laughed again and let the darkness take him anywhere he should be.
