When I opened my eyes, I was back in my bedroom. It felt so strange waking up there, even after only being away from home for a short while. I was already feeling better and couldn’t help but wonder what had happened. I could feel something irritating my nose. I moved my hand to it without thinking and found the small plastic tube. “Don’t pull it. It’s the only thing keeping you going. You need to be more careful.”
“Alright, Brodie, don’t nag.” I was too groggy for being fussed over.
