Ruby who do not realize what she has done or what rumor she has caused spread round the whole pack house walk out of the room and notice the stares on her.
Everyone practically pause whatever they are doing and look at her with muffled laughter.
She frown her face, feeling uncomfortable with their stares and walk out of the house to meet Pete and ask him what was going on.
"I thought you were uncomfortable with Ryder but it seem I was wrong" he has a sly grin on his lips and his eyes gazes teasingly.
"What are you talking about?" Ruby hit him on his shoulder.
" Everyone knows" he chuckles unable to keep it in anymore and this gets Ruby more confusing and curious.
"Know what?" She asked eager.
"They heard your voice from Ryder's room, you really should keep it low next time, I don't want to hear about how my sister sounds while having fun" he throws at her and Ruby widen her eyes.
She squint her eyes wondering what he is talking about about and as sh guess what he might be referring to, her eyes widened further, almost popping out.
"Oh, here is your fiance" Pete called still grinning and Ruby turn to see Ryder behind them.
He must have found out about the ridiculous news being falsely spread.
How embarrassing! She cried and draw close to Pete to cover her face.
"I have to go" she rushed and hurry out of there, ignoring Ryder.
Ryder's eyes trail after her as she run out of the house and turn to Pete who is ready to tease him.
"Hey, you might be engaged to my sister but you are not married yet. So could you take it slow?"
" Shut up" Ryder snapped and Pete nod, pressing his lips together to suppress his laugh.
After Ruby escape from the house, she phone Betty who has called her last night to inform her that she is already in town.
Betty walk into the restaurant and all heads turn towards her, she is dressed in a burgundy low neckline top with a transparent black jacket and a metallic silver high-slit skirt.
The sound of her six-inches peep toe heels elude an air of pride and elegance as she walk to the table where Ruby is waiting for her.
"You look...too much" Ruby commented seeing the attention she has drawn.
That's Betty for you. Always making both men and women steal glances.
"And you look ridiculous" Betty respond seeing how different she looks.
"What happened to the Ruby that left school a week ago?" She asked.
A waiter hurry to them and flash his smile at Betty who did not hesitate to flirtatiously smile back.
"Can I buy you dinner?" He asked staring hypnotized at her.
" This dinner is covered already, how about tomorrow night? I'm free" she said and bring out her card to give to him.
The waiter smiles sheepishly and walk away forgetting to take their orders almost bumping into a customer.
Betty watch with a smirk, feeling pleased with herself, she always love the attention.
"Hey, focus here" Ruby knock the table slightly and Betty quickly apologize.
"Ok I want the full gist and don't lie to me Ruby" she said.
Ruby heaves and begin the story from when she walked into the bar, not leaving anything out.
"What are you going to do now?" Betty asked worried and curious.
" Nothing" Ruby replied shrugging.
She is going to let go of her ridiculous feeling for Logan and focus on fulfilling her duty with Ryder.
Besides, it seem she was too quick to judge her feelings for Ryder, back then when his arms strokes her shoulders, it felt really good.
"Oh my gosh, you really are smitten by him, aren't you?" Betty asked as Ruby smiles to herself thinking of her time with Ryder.
"I'm not" Ruby denied and Betty laugh teasingly.
On Betty insistent that Ruby take her to see the one that has gotten her this smitten, they went back to the pack house together.
The pack are having training and both Ruby and Betty walk into the big room where there is a ring and all the men are topless.
The enticing sight get both girls smugly and staring at the free show of goodness.
Oh Wow! Betty exclaim in amusement, enjoying the sweaty shirtless men before her.
"Alpha, your fianceé is here" George, Ryder's Beta called his attention from the ring where he is having a combat training with a fellow wolf.
Ryder halt and turn to the direction where Ruby is standing, all the men follow suit, smirking at the ladies bold move to come in and watch them.
He get out of the ring and walk towards Ruby who tries to keep her eyes off his chiseled chest glistening with sweat, revealing the Corso of his muscles.
"Hi" he said wondering if she is there to see him.
"Uh" Ruby replied looking smitten, her face all red up.
"Do you want to see me?" Ryder asked trying to balance his breathes from the strenuous fight.
"Um... I want to introduce my friend" she grab Betty and push her forward a bit.
Betty dash her eyes to her but she quickly shake her head for her to cooperate.
Ryder move his gaze to Betty who immediately flash a smile and introduce herself.
"I'm her best friend" she corrected not restraining herself from staring at his silky-like chest.
"Nice to meet you" he said taking her hand.
He turn to Ruby who maintains an awkward smile on her face, he wait for her to say something else but when he didn't, he chuckles silently.
"I need to go back to the ring, let's talk later" he said and Ruby nods obediently.
Just as he is about to leave, one of the men yell on top of his voice.
"Are you not going to kiss her?" He yelled and make a funny kissing sound while everyone laugh out.
The rumor from the morning must have been reach them too. Ruby thought and feel more embarrassed.
"Mind your business guys" Ryder turn to them and warn.
But they did not back off and continue their teasing asking if Ryder is being shy wouldn't man up and do it.
Ruby stare at him also wondering if he won't do it either, she may feel uncomfortable with him but she also want to know what it feels like.
"If he's not going to do it, just do it then" Betty whispered to her taking her eyes off Ryder for a second.
Just as she turn back to him contemplating whether to take the offer or not, Ryder move forward and slid his hand slowly behind her back.
She look up to meet his gaze and his face lean down slowly while gazing into her eyes seeking for permission.
Ruby close her eyes and grab his arms to give him a go ahead. In three seconds, his lips touches her and it feels warm.
She have enough time to savor the taste before he push further in and she part her lips to let him in.
It is slow but passionate, like he is pouring out his feelings to her but at the same time trying not to overwhelm her.
When it stops, Ruby feel a bit startle not sure if it is because of the supposed bond between them that made her feel this way.
The loud cheering of the crew made her jolt out of her thought and she chuckle embarrassed and excited about it.
Just as she try to avert looking at the whole lot of them, she caught Logan standing at the entrance with Pete.
