As Ruby walk out to the passage, she is almost brush by Krista who has just heard about the fight. Cole who is behind her stop to apologize to Ruby who barely nod and walk away.
Logan furrowed hard when he sees Krista and try to get up but she rush fast at him, trying to see where he is hurt.
“Those punks” she let out angrily but Logan isn’t bothered.
He push her off and walk towards the door to leave, both Krista and Cole notice the smashed box and wonder what happened.
Cole rush to him and walk by his side while Krista stay behind trying to listen on their conversation.
“I saw your sister-in-law just now” he said, his hands laying lazily inside his pockets.
“Damn! She is smoking hot” Cole whispered and Logan turn to him with a death glare.
He quickly pursed his lips and apologize,
Logan sigh feeling rile at everything and hasten his steps deciding not to go back to class for the rest of the day.
“Do you know what is going on with him?” Krista grab Cole to ask.
“I’m not sure” Cole lied but Krista did not believe him.
She has been stalking Logan for two years now and know when something is bothering him, it seem serious seeing how he keeps acting out and being cruel to her.
If neither boys are going to tell her, she would have to find out herself then.
When Ruby gets back to the pack house, she meet Ryder waiting for her. She has informed him about visiting the school.
“How did it go?” Ryder asked and sit down close to her on the bed.
“I’m not sure, I want to go back to school after the wedding” Ruby reveal and gaze at him to see his reaction.
“Okay” Ryder nod and Ruby’s eyes light up.
She thought he might be against it and try to stop her. Ryder realize how tense she was and grab her cheeks with his hands gently.
“You thought I would stop you? Why would I do that?” he ask and chuckles lightly.
Ruby part her lips not sure why she thought that too but feel happy that she wouldn’t be restricted. This is one of the reasons why she feared this alliance.
With his palms grasping her cheeks, Ruby is force to stare at him and recall their kiss. She remembered the feel of his hands on her shoulders when he was helping to apply ointment and her face redden up.
She feel a flutter in her stomach as Ryder’s steel eyes lock with her, filled with quiet yearning and the air between them seem to vibrate with tension.
Ryder’s eyes roam her face, drinking in every feature, every curve, every contour. His pupils dilated, as if to say, May I?
Ruby could feel it and knows he is seeking her permission to kiss her, her eyelids fluttered and she grow nervous.
Perhaps she want to know what it feels like again, the kiss at the training ground. She thought and lean in a bit to signal him of her acceptance for him to go ahead.
Ryder did not hesitate to move close and in a breathe of a second, their lips touch and a electrifying feelings rush through their body.
It feel enthralling that Ruby push in closer and shut her eyes tight to enjoy it but then in a sudden flash, she remember her first kiss with Logan.
As Ryder’s hands moves and rest on her waist, the sensual feelings she felt with Logan and she start to feel unease.
She is comparing them and it is hard for her to stay focus with Ryder so she pull away suddenly, surprising Ryder and he raise a brow slowly.
Did he go too fast? He wondered and search into her eyes for answers.
Seeing he is a bit confused, Ruby quickly find an excuse.
“Can we wait till after the wedding?” she said sucking her lower lips.
Ryder remain silent for few seconds before nodding his head, he give a short smile and caress her hair before getting to leave.
When he got outside the room, he instruct another room to be prepared for him to sleep in. As much as he wants to be intimate with her and put his mark on her, he did not want her to feel forced or pressured into her feelings.
And seeing how good she kisses him back, it might not take as long as he thought it would.
If he has been patient for the past two years, then he can wait for few more weeks. Ryder thought as he order his things moved to the new room while Ruby takes his room.
After Ryder left, Ruby could not get her thoughts straight so she called Betty to tell her about everything.
“What?” Betty exclaimed stupefy.
“Keep your voice” Ruby said in annoyance.
She cannot believe she let Logan’s words get to her head and now she can’t stop comparing the her kiss with Ryder to the one with Logan.
“First, how do you feel?” Betty asked and Ruby arch a brow confused.
“When you thought of the kiss with Ryder and his brother, which did you like most?” Betty asked again.
“That doesn’t matter!” Ruby exclaimed in a high whisper.
“Why not? Your feelings are the only thing that matters.” Betty respond but Ruby refuse to listen to her.
If she does anything to sabotage this marriage alliance, not only will their packs be at risk but all werewolves races.
She can’t be selfish and jeopardize lives, she need to stop thinking about Logan.
To stop herself from thinking about anything, Ruby pick up the glass of liquor in front of Ruby and gulp it all down before Ruby could stop her .
After about an hour, Betty calls Pete to have him take her back because she is too drunk to go home alone.
When Pete arrive at the bar, he bring Logan along with him and walk to where they are sitting.
“Why did you let her drink this much?” Pete throw accusingly at Betty who scoff at his absurd accusation.
“She was so depressed for having a brother like you” she fired at him and get up to leave.
Pete glared at her angrily and move to help Ruby stand up but Logan already beat him to it. He pick up her phone instead.
“Ruby?” Logan called with a worried face.
Ruby who is drunk hears his voice and manage to open her eyes, she stare at him and wonder if she is imaging him in front of him or if he is real.
She reach her hand out and put a finger on his enticing lips, staring intensely at it reminded of her kiss with him and Ryder.
Seeing that she is comparing the two again, she shakes her head vigorously and blame him for it.

ult” she said to Logan and passed out on his shoulders.
