“Why didn’t you tell me?” Betty asked louder after finding out what Piper had done. She would have pulled all of Piper’s hair out for daring to hurt her. Ruby rested her head on Betty’s shoulder, feeling a bit relieved to have her by her side. Betty pat her cheek gently, comforting her that it was going to be fine. The two remained silent for a long moment until the sound of someone pulling the door open distracted them and they both looked up. “Ruby” Logan called, walking inside. His voice sounded rough, barely held together. Ruby hurry out of bed to meet him, her heart splintering at the sight of him. He wasn’t supposed to be here. “What are you…?” she asked but Logan grabbed her face in to his palms, forcing her to cut her words off. “You are not going to go through this right?”
