“Urgh” Ruby grunt as she grab her head feeling drowsy still.
She remember drinking herself to stupor and then…she jump up when she remember a memory and resting beside her with his elbow resting on the bed while supporting his body in a slumber.
“Logan?” Ruby mutters.
She grunts quietly wondering why he is there and look around the room to be sure where she is.
Oh no! It’s not Ryder’s room then this room with an enormous picture of a bike hanging on the wall is definitely Logan.
How did she end up here last time?
Ruby try to contemplate the situation while praying inwardly that nothing happen between them last night.
She search the bed for her phone to quickly get out but Logan open her eyes slowly at her movement and call her name.
A bit startled, Ruby turn back at him and pressed her lips together trying to think of a goo word.
“What am I doing in your room?” she asked coherently and get a frown from Logan.
“What?” he throw at her and stand up.
He has exhausted himself trying to take care of her last night, his whole body aches as well.
“How could you bring me to your room?” Ruby throw away her shame and accuse him.
She look down to see she is clothed and sighs relieved that he did not take advantage of her, she try to get up from the bed prepared to blast him when the door opens.
Ruby throw her gaze quickly towards it and widen her eyes when Pete walk into the room, she fall back in shock to the bed.
“Are you in your senses now? You were an headache last night” Pete said looking strained as well.
Ruby look at him and dash her perplexed gaze to Logan who is watching her silently without saying a word.
“What happened?” she asked after calming down and taking a glass of water from Pete.
“You mistook Logan for Ryder last night and wouldn’t let him go” Pete replied and Ruby spit back the water into the glass in shock.
Pete throw her a disgusted look but she ignore him and ask what he meant instead.
“You wouldn’t let him go and instead on sleeping with him…” Pete revealed and Ruby swallow down her saliva, choking hard on it.
She cough and Pete rush to her a little startled, Logan also move to her and grasp her arm, patting her back lightly.
Ruby hurry to withdraw from his hold and try to remember what happened last night afraid she has made a mess she can’t handle.
Bits by bits, it comes to her and she turn her face down in shame and embarrassment. She has almost exposed her dirty secret herself.
Just when she thought it is going to be over, Pete inform her that Ryder was worried about her.
“What! He knows?”| Ruby asked yet confound.
“Of course. He was so worried”
Ruby immediately rush out of the room leaving both Logan and Pete who watch her looking a bit stupefy by her attitude.
When she exits, A smirk plasters on Logan’s face which disappears as Pete turn to him.
After showering and changing her clothes, Ruby goes to find Ryder and apologize about last night. She was crazy to drink too much, the thought that she might have actually spew anything that happened between her and Logan to Ryder terrifies her.
On her way, she run into Logan and halt for a moment. Ruby stare at him and the little memory from last night come to her making her feel quite embarrassed.
She is the one who told him to forget about all of it yet she had come on to him drunkenly.
Logan notice the red face and his smirk widen, he move closer at her and Ruby retreat her feet back.
“Are you hot?” he asked teasingly,
A memory flash at Ruby at that second, she had grabbed Logan’s cloth and ask if he is feeling hot and she would like to help him out by taking off his clothes.
Ruby turn her face away feeling more embarrassed and her face blows up getting more flustered.
“About last night…” she try to apologize but Logan move his hand up and her words get caught in her throat.
He slowly push her hair back and let his fingers trail down her cheek, sending an electrifying rush down her spine.
Logan watch her as she close her eyes briefly and feel the shiver in her , he draw his face close and let his breathe hotly down on her while grasping her neck gently.
“Who is the best kisser you’ve ever had?” Logan breathed heavily and Ruby’s lids flash up at him.
She squint a bit not sure why he is asking that but Logan waits for her answer not ready to let go.
Last night when she was drunk, she had grab him close and whisper into his ears that the best kiss she ever had was…
But then, she passed out without finishing her words and for the past hours, that has been on his mind.
He could not help thinking if it was him or Ryder.
“You are too close, I can’t think” Ruby let out sincerely.
With his scent probing her head and his tantalizing lips right a push from her, she cannot rational about anything.
“Didn’t you promise me to never discuss what happened between us?’ she asked him gulping down subconsciously.
“You are the one who broke your word when you almost kissed me last night” Logan accused and Ruby feel short for words.
Last night, she blamed him. She clench to him and refuse to let go of him which means he is not the only one with these feelings.
“That is a stupid mistake that would never happen again” Ruby rush her words and try to push him back but Logan grab her hand and draw her close.
Ruby gasp and lift her face up to see him leaning in to kiss her, just as their lips touches, they hear Ryder’s voice.
When Ryder hear from Pete that Ruby was awake, he quickly excuse himself from the meeting he was having to see her.
He could not shake off last night from his mind and wondered how pushed she must have felt to have gotten that drunk and mistook Logan for him.
He has always been too adhere with responsibilities and laws but Ruby is not like him. She just became the Alpha and is still adjusting to the life.
Ryder thought of a good way to show his care and brought a beautiful bracelet, he is going to give it to her and ask them to start again.
This time, they will first work on knowing each other well and then slowly get to love each other. He won’t rush her like the packs wants.
After looking at the rooms and not finding her there, Ryder walk around the house to check for Ruby and call out her name.
He walk further and is about to call her name again when she suddenly appear in front of him. Ryder walk to her and notice her discomfort countenance.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
Ruby look briefly at Logan who is hiding in a corner and back at Ryder with a stiff smile, nodding her head to answer him.
