When I came to, I didn’t know where exactly I was in. I knew it wasn’t the grove or my room or the medical ward and it was bright out which meant I had to have been unconscious for a while.
My head hurt when I tried to sit up, the movement notifying Luca that I was awake. He rushed to my side from the chair he had been sitting on where he must have been really busy.
“Hey, are you okay? I’ll get Ash.” He was about to leave when I held his hand to stop him from going. There was an electrifying feeling that came with touching him and I blushed, remembering what had happened during the ritual.
“I’m fine, I think. I just need water.” I nodded in thanks when he gave me a glass of water per my request. “How long have I been out?”
