I watched in horror as Jaxon’s head hit the wall several times from Rhett’s hits. He didn’t put up a fight and just let it happen.
I moved to stop Rhett but an arm reached out to stop me. I looked at Luca who looked as betrayed as Rhett. He shook his head ,warning me not to go.
“How dare you? How could you?!” Rhett yelled in Jaxon’s face.
Jaxon calmly removed his hand from his shoulders and pushed him backwards.
“It didn’t happen because I wanted to, it happened because it was inevitable. The bond pulled us together and we just couldn’t control it.” Jaxon answered. His voice was level, controlled.
Rhett shook his head repeatedly. “That’s bullshit, Jaxon. You just want to claim her for yourself first! I’m sure she didn’t even want to you. You probably forced her to do it.”
