CHAPTER 21 Raven No matter how often I try, I couldn’t seem to properly shift. The pain I experienced when it first started didn’t fade away like I had hoped, instead, it intensified. Ever so often, I would hear my bones crack, causing me to cry out again but I was unable to stay in one form. The fur on my skin appeared and disappeared and the pain was causing me to go mad. I could feel concern rolling off in waves from the brothers. They were torn between fighting with Varek’s goons and staying behind to make sure I was fine. I couldn’t speak, the only sounds coming from me being yells. I tried to signal to them to make sure we were safe since the goons were advancing even though seeing me writhing on the floor made them momentarily pause but my signals probably translated as not
