As soon as the door creaked open, I told my brothers to stay alert. I could faintly see Cynthia’s attack and while we were worried she would have seen us, she was entirely fixated on Raven to bother checking her surroundings.
From where I was, I could hear Raven’s breathing. It was steady and it was highly believable that she was asleep. She barely moved an inch and if Cynthia had been a good friend like she claimed she was, she would have known Raven doesn’t stay still when she’s deeply asleep.
